40-Year Old Man Killed in Baton Rouge Crash

Some people are afraid to turn on the news in the morning. It seems like all we ever hear is bad news. Starting out the day like that can be depressing. And, the scary thing is, we never know when an accident could happen to us. 40-year old Todd Haydel of Slaughter, Louisiana had no idea when he started up his 1998 Pontiac Firebird that he was enjoying the last few hours of his life. At about 5:15 am, his car was traveling southbound on Highway 19 in Baton Rouge when he lost control of his car resulting in 40-year old man being killed in baton rouge crash.

His vehicle went on to crash into a very large, metal utility pole. The collision was so serious that the victim was dead at the scene. Despite the ongoing investigation, there is still no confirmation as to what caused the single-car accident.

The accident took place right between an Exxon Mobil and the Baton Rouge Zoo. It happened so early in the morning you can’t expect there to have been a lot of traffic on the road.

Sadly, a lot of accidents happen just this way. A driver’s all alone in their car. One minute they’re on their way to work and the next thing they know, they’re careening into a utility pole.

Knowing how things can turn on a dime, it’s important that you know what to do in this kind of situation. None of us ever want to think about losing our loved one in a tragic accident. However, you also don’t want to be totally unprepared.
