28-Year Old Man Killed in St. James Parish

Accidents that happen in the middle of the night tend to be dangerous because they usually involve drugs or alcohol. Sometimes, it’s not so obvious at the time of the crash, but toxicology reports can confirm if the driver was under the influence at the time of the accident. A 28-year old man killed in St. James Parish.

This happened last weekend in Louisiana, in St. James Parish. A 28-year old man named Ramon Domino was driving his Nissan Altima in the Northbound lanes of LA-18. He was hit head-on by someone driving a Hummer.

The Hummer was traveling Southbound on LA-18. The man driving the Hummer was Keimone Mitchell, a 27-year old man from Louisiana. At about 3:30 am, he lost control of his Hummer and hit the Altima head-on at a fast rate of speed.

Sadly, Domino was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. James Parish coroner. Mitchell was taken to the University Medical Center in Louisiana with serious injuries. There is no update at to his condition. Nor is there a confirmation if Mitchell has been charged in the accident.

While the police have not yet made any arrests, they are waiting for toxicology reports to come back on Mitchell. This usually means that they suspect drugs or alcohol were involved. There has been no update as of yet.

The accident took place near Abadie Street near Vacherie, Louisiana. No comment has been released from the victim’s family as of yet. However, usually in cases like this, the victim’s family will have a wrongful death claim against the other driver. It wouldn’t surprise us if we see that here.
